fav books on investing

please list any books you’ve found to be a good read on the topic of investing… looking to read up on new topics…

some of my recommendations would be as follows:

You Can Be a Stock Market Genius: Uncover the Secret Hiding Places of Stock Market Profits
Joel Greenblatt

please don’t get turned off by the cheesy title. the book is awesome and practically one of a kind on the subject. Greenblatt is a legend in his own right… and some of the insights he’s given into the business you won’t find anywhere else. it isn’t exactly an advanced book but it also isn’t for beginners. it has detailed case studies which are a great read.

The 5 Keys to Value Investing
J. Dennis Jean-Jacques

this is an excellent all-round book. and much better than some of the books that are considered bibles for value investing. the author is a former Michael Price protege. really enjoyed the little stories of Price that he mentioned. also, he gives examples which are always useful.

Value Investing: From Graham to Buffett and Beyond
Bruce Greenwald

the author is a prof at Columbia U. what I loved about the book was that it introduced me to many great contemporary investors that I wasn’t aware of till then like Glenn Greenberg, Seth Klarman, etc. the last part of the book is an awesome read because it talks about all these great investors and their methods.
