nobody asked her to give up her citizenship…she made that decision of her own accord.
in fact, IMO she should have held onto that status so that she could later use it to her advantage…foolish and emotional move on her part.

in keeping with the respect that the party members gave her as maadr-e-party, she should have acted in a much more selfless manner. she should have placed her role above and beyond that of NA seat-holders. in this manner she would have wielded much more power and influence.

the founding members should be in roles that allow them to ‘groom’ the coming leaders. they should be honoured to be the proverbial “kingmakers” rather than vie to be kings themselves.

why she wanted to be in a position from which she can be easily removed when she could continue to reign as queen is beyond me…

Aap ayesa mushwara ‘Pidar-e-Parti’ ko kewn nahi daytee … that to keep himself above NA seats, gain respect, and control the party from outside? (woh tou char char seat per election lara takay kaheen say tou khancha lag jayea :))

As for merit, does anyone think that Party observed merit putting FK at number 4 on women seat?

Obviously, no one forced her to abandon American citizenship, but she felt she is more committed to party than keeping American nationality, and that was show of commitment to the cause she believed she was standing. That certainly must have attracted many voters to party.

Lagta hay, Fauzia Kasuri ko ‘Imran Khan’ kee baton aur wadoon per bharosa hou giya tha … just like many women have done on Imran words and promises.

Those who could not give justice to their own top party member, how can anyone expect that they would give justice to ordinary Pakistani?

[But then, expecting justice from those who cannot give justice to their own kids is beyond imagination anyhow, that FK should have known].
