Fatwa: Blogs are not Permissable in Islam

Re: Fatwa: Blogs are not Permissable in Islam

Couple of things must be kept in mind when dealing with this issue…

First, we know that a sin committed in secret is secret between Allah :swt: and the sinner…Hence, if the person repents, that sin can be washed away by His mercy…

Disclosing a sin to someone is tantamount to making a witness of your sins in Qiyamah in front of Allah :swt: and that person will come forward and testify to the guilt of person…

Second, most of the non-Muslims keep an account of their personal and intimate affairs on their blogs…Sometimes even the minutest details, even so much that it seems as if you are reading a porn story, which as we all know is Haram…

So, depending on whose blog you are reading, they can certainly give you ideas…And then subconsciously the Muslim will desire the same…After constant reading of such details, the heart then decides, hey, it’s all good…Everybody’s doing it, so why not me?

As far as the journals on this website go, I have not (except one) seen a journal in which someone is disclosing their personal lives, illicit relationships or Haramkaari to others on this board…

Such people have a very rosy appearance but their lives are torn and shattered…Jumping from one relation to the other, they become hollow, distrustful and vain…Then they bring out in the open as something great and awesome…

And of course, since desires are contagious and Shaitaan is ever so willing…Oh, so willing…:bummer:
