Fatwa against Salman Khan for attending Ganesh puja
Poor guy is in trouble again.
New Delhi, Sept 20: Fresh out of Jail in the Chinkara poaching case, the perpetual ‘bad guy’ of Bollywood Salman Khan is in trouble again.
The Bareilly based Daarul-Ifta-Manjar-e-Islam has issued a Fatwa against him for having attended Ganesh puja at the famous Lalbagh ka Raja Ganpati Mandal in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Citing Islamic principles the clerics claimed that Islam prohibits all kinds of idol worship and by taking part in Ganesh puja festivities, Salman has ceased to be a Muslim.
In its Fatwa, the organisation has mandated that Salman read the Kalmas all over again to be considered as a Muslim.
While attending the puja on Wednesday, Salman had said, “We believe in this. The energy here is spectacular. When we were kids, we used to come here and I have come here after a long time. Whatever I wanted, I have got.”
Re: Fatwa against Salman Khan for attending Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja
I never understood this concept of Mullahs announcing some one is not Muslim.
No one can stop any one from claiming what relegion they follow. Also isnt it supposed to be something between Individual and his Allah? Who are others to decides who is mulsim or not.
Re: Fatwa against Salman Khan for attending Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja
I think these Indian Mullahs are learning fast from their counterparts in the Islamic countries.....these things are a recent phenomenon in India....issuing fatwa against Azharuddin (for endorsing shoes with his name written on them), Sania Mirza(for her dress), now Salman Khan...
I would say that even the Hindu fanatics (I like to call them "Hindu Mullahs" like Bal Thackeray) are getting their lessons from their Muslim counterparts...vandalizing shops on Valentine's day...flaying Ravi Shastri for eating beef in the commentary box and such.
Long for the secular , tolerant days of the 70s and 80s in India.
