'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

So religion has nothing to do with this thread?

AS I said ullema might be wrong but Nilofer's sayings aren't right either.

She should have said....'pilot gave me a hug but I didn't.

or

'all the female pilots were on holidays '

instead of saying that islam allows you to hug a namahram.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

This thread is in politics section and I am looking at it from a political viewpoint.I am sure if people really wanted to discuss this from a religious perspective it would have been in the religion forum.

while I am not big on ppl giving hugs to na mehrams, that is somoene's individual action and whether they think its right or wrong is an issue of their deeds.

I have a bigger problem with the idiots like the assembly in lal masjid and its associated madrissas that are harassing ppl, threatening to take law in their own hands, threatening with suicide bombings and all.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Nilofar Bakhtiar has the right to enjoy life, be it with French or Pakistani.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Peace Fraudz

Sort of difficult request ... Islam is non-secular and Pakistan's laws require Shariah to be translated to become laws of Pakistan ... I think article 227. (Don't quote me on that ... listen to Mufti Taqi Usmani on that one)

As for Miss paraglider ... I don't personally care what madame does, but let's look at this ...

Her organisation backs her actions
Society elected her
She doesn't observe hijab

And the Ulema say nothing ...

Only when she gets snapped hugging someone there is a fuss. What I am saying is that all those people who elected her, stayed silent when she remains without hijab and those who back her are all partially responsible on the Islamic level. So why then only punish that woman who was probably grabbed by the man anyway. She on the other hand could have been wiser in replying saying that 'She didn't hug him, rather he hugged her'.

Anyways ... I don't care much about what politicians do ... but we need to be more considerate about the climate we are in ...

"It is unjust to convict the rapist when society and the victim allows him the freedom to fester his rapist mentality."

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Re: ‘Fatwa’ against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Here is the picture:

It clearly shows that this women has no morality. If you have bollywood and other obscene filth aired on Pakistani TV’s it really no surprise when things like this happen. What was this women taught, how to be a hussy? Don’t be shocked by this kind of happenings, this is taking place all over Pakistan because of loose morals. Just absolutely disgusting. This women is supposed to be a ‘model’ for young muslim women…

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

^^ This picture shows that this women is Modern, smart, articulate, intelligent and not a jihal locked in her home 24/7, a baby making machine and a food cooking servant and a husband worshiping slave

Sorry Mr. SyedAbdullah not every one lives in the 10th Century

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Point is, you dont have to start hugging a "namharam," but that doesnt mean you have the right to judge anyone else.. She is probably far more knowledgeable of Islam then you, and if in her understanding of Islam this is ok, then that her bussiness.
If you were to live or visit a western country, you would understand that sometimes, close contact with people of the opposite sex isnt easy to avoid, particulalry becuase such things are part of the culture there.
I know your in England, but Pakistanis in England arent known for being open minded or understanding of the culture outside their Pakistani neighborhoods. Not every Muslim you see can be a social hermit...
Islam asks us to be modest in our actions and our garb... So thus we have to adapt into the society we live because modesty is defined differently in all societies. By the standard of France, hugging your instructor is considered innocent. Islam doesnt want you to close your eyes to the realities of your society... You cant close yourself in just because you think something is unislamic.

Re: ‘Fatwa’ against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Get a clue, this is the 21st century, and not everyone is going to agree with your definition of morality. Is she having sex with the man? Is she making out with him?
She is completely covered, nothing is being revealed! Just because she hugged her instructor you think that amounts to immorality? What universe do you live in!
I should hope that more Pakistani women have the courage to express themselves and follow their dreams.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

The creation of Pakistan and what it was created for can be debated endlesly. Point remains, not everyone is going to share your views on Islam and not everyone wants to turn Pakistan into a Mullah state where Sharia is suppreme.
There are Millions upon millions of people in Pakistan who want to be free to live their lives without the spoectre of the Fatwa hanging over their heads, and these people are as much a part of Pakistan as you and have just has much right in its development... These people DONT want to force women to wear the Hijab.. Big deal.
In the end the point is clear, majority of the people want a country that respect peoples freedoms and rights. They dont want a hegemony, which is what the Mullahs are fighting for.
Pakistan is Islamic enough already, we dont need Sharia, so keep it to yourself. Thanks.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

So this is the biggest issue for mullahs? Are these people insane? On the one hand we have mullahs threatening suicide bombings and acting upon them, Pakistani women being gang raped, abused, killed and denied basic human rights and these mullahs are worried about an obviously innocent hug by an excited person?

Where was the Fatwa against the attackers of Mukhtaran Mai, Dr. Shazia and countless other victims of rape and honour killings by Pakistani men? Am I living in an alternate reality here where people's priorities are upside down? Good is bad and bad is good. You would think Bakhtiar killed someone by the reaction from some mullahs.

Where is the Fatwa against fanatic suicide bombers?

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

^ Pakistan is filled with such quagmires isnt it?!?!

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Yes they are

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

When they're 70+, give her a break...

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

and when her life was in his hands and he landed her safely on the ground, then that also counts as giving her a break

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

Was listening to Nilofar's interview she says, "meri tasveer ko ghalat andaaz maiN pesh kiya gaya, wo mujhey shabaash dey raha tha".

Firstly, if she feels its okay for her to hug that gentleman, then she shud say it plainly, no need to make excuses.

More importantly, i don't care who she hugs or whom she does not, or whetehr she hugs a 70 year old or 17 year old, as long as, she does not use the government's money to finance her excursion trips.

Thats the problem for Paki people, instaed of seeing what the dudette has achieved in France, (nothing likely except for personal pleasure), it has become a Mahram/namahram issue.

Re: 'Fatwa' against Pakistani minister for paragliding pics

^^ our maulvi generals waste far more money than her

and besides this is good press

she got good coverage on the french media that pakistani women are not burka clad women who get gang raped everyday
