Although I dont support the Fatwa but see how easy it is to spin things your way. Just like you did. Fatwa was not against “National Anthems” in general but its against some verses which they thing are against the teaching of Islam.
Would any Hindu sing any national song which ha derogatory remarks against some bhagwan or cow? or some Christians sings the national song with curse on Jesis? NO
Personally I think there is no harm in reading it unless you really mean it.
