Fatima Jinnah 51st death anniversary

51st death anniversary of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah.

Edit

Fatima Jinnah, who was the younger sister of the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam (Great Leader) worked tirelessly side by side with her brother Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali to help gather the women of sub-continent on one platform, which made the struggle for achieving a separate state for Muslims- known now as Pakistan.

She was born on July 31, 1893, while she completed a dental degree from the University of Calcutta in 1923. She became a close associate and an adviser to her older brother Muhammad Ali Jinnah who later became the founder and first Governor General of Pakistan. A strong critic of the British Raj, she emerged as a strong advocate of the two nation theory and a leading member of the All-India Muslim League.

She was laid to rest next to her brother, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in Karachi on July 9 1967. She remains one of the most honored leaders in Pakistan, with nearly half a million people attending her funeral in Karachi.

I think its good that she wasnt elected. Atleast people remember her with very good name. ALLAH jisay chahe izzat de aur jisay chahe..

This is not true :hehe:

I am in the Federal Capital and I did not see or hear about any such government sponsored programmes? Mind you that we have a caretaker gubberment in place and they are just pretty much filling in the space and void left behind by the Sicilian Mafia. The only talk of the town is NAB verdict and the impending return of the *Pyo and Dhee. *The average Joe on the street didnt even know it was Fatima Jinnah’s death anniversary today. All they know is that there is a park in F9 opposite Mickey D’s and its called Fatima Jinnah Park :hehe:

Well you can guess the interest judging by the news source. I didn’t even see anything in Dawn today yet.

My grandfather’s house was very near to Quaid’s mazar, after death of my father we lived there till my graduation from NED. I was in 8th grade when Fatima Jinah died. How can I forget when people of Karachi blamed dictator for poisoning her after defeating her in a fraud and rigged elections. I still remember when people who brought her dead body for burial were subjected to severely ‘lathi charged’ and tear gas. They wanted to bury her beside her brother but dictator said big no where the trouble started. We had a big pool of water in our back yard, when a number of affected people rushed to water to clean their burning eyes due severe tear gas. It was very very sad and unfortunate day for dead sister of founder of Pakistan.

As usual you will not find truth about this brutality in any history book of Pakistan. Dictator then controlled media 100% and proved the people subjected to lathi charged and tear gas, were miscreants who rioted by pelting stones on police.

It looks Sachay can hang out with Orya Maqbool Jan.

Jab diwanay do baithay to…

I only thought Uncle Ehsan and AP were old. It looks like all the PPP supporters here are the old guard while pml-n, pti, mqm (any left here?) etc supporters are pretty young. It ironically mirrors the state of PPP in Pakistan right now.

All old die hard PPP supporters have left along time ago except very few. Only young ones are now in PPP. This is why all these parties you have mentioned are piece of sh!ts as young generation are moral less and corrupt, mostly.
