Father's Day

What should I gift my dad? It’s so difficult finding gifts for him. With mum it’s so easy, with dad it’s just a different ball game. :bummer:

In the past I have gifted him electronics, DIY machines, cuff links, leather goods etc. He’s a business man, travels a lot and always busy.
Any suggestions??

Re: Father's Day

Cologne ? A man can never have enough of them .

Re: Father's Day

a nice shirt piece, a tie, cufflinks?

I would have presented my father a poetry book. and would have read him from there. I know he would have LOVED it.

Re: Father's Day

For my dad poetry is like martian language lolz he's a very practical and logical person, so he appreciates things which are very practical and last long
A shirt is not a bad idea though hmmmm

Re: Father's Day

but he already has tons of them

Re: Father's Day

okay make him something handmade. a pen holder, a photo frame whatever he whenever looks at, may think of you :)

Re: Father’s Day

^ Now thats a very cute suggestion :k:

Re: Father's Day

cute idea .. i once gave my daddy a framed collage ov him n my pics .. n he loved ih .. it was soo cutee

Re: Father's Day

A perfume or a sweater is the gift that i always choose for men.

Re: Father’s Day

^ Sweater? :konfused:

I reccomend something like a gadget that can be usefull everyday… need not be really expensive either just something quirky that he could use day to day. Some cool shades or a neat pen/multi-tool are always a good gift… but a bit too cliche… I’ll think of something cooler that wont break the bank…

Re: Father's Day

laptop bag
briefcase
one of those really fashionable grooming/shaving kits
a really nice monogrammed business card case
monogrammed money clip

Re: Father's Day

Ok as much as I like this idea I doubt that I have enough time to make something, But I'll keep that in mind for his coming birthday which is in September.
I think I'll go to the Apple shop today to see if I can get him an Iphone or Ipad, if not then I am heading for the Met's gift shop, I have seen some very nice business card cases over there; specially the one's from Tiffany's

Re: Father’s Day

seriously this is one of those words for which you need to know the whole context before understanding it. It can be the collection of poetry or the traditional sofa or the title of a very respectable person. By the way which one of these is the root for diwana? as in deewangi ???
