Re: Father’s Day Special
If the Christians go to their churches, read their Bible and pray on Sundays…does that mean you will avoid going to the mosque, reading Quran, praying and making dua on Sundays? If you usually don’t make dua for your parents and make it a special point to do so on Mother’s/Father’s Day, then you would be singling out these non-Muslim holidays. However, if it is your daily hasb-e-mamool to pray for your parents daily, then you would not be singling out or making Mother’s/Father’s Day special occasions. If let’s say someone’s parents are in some dire emergency, an accident or illness, should we avoid making dua to Allah for them simply because it happens to be the non-Muslim folks’ Mother’s Day? Hmm?
thank you…so, it’s a OK to pray for your deceased loved ones [parents] even on such days as Mother’s and Father’s Day if you have been doing it on a daily basis…you made so much sense.
