hey subtle racists are even easier to deal with, u can always pay them back in kind, and then as far as subtle goes do check with your HR policies, because their comments do not have to be directed at you for them to be in trouble.
my view is educate those who dont know, kid around with those who kid around but set limits, know your Hr policies dont cross them yourselves.
but dont take it lying down, dont get mad get even, and its either by taking a stand, or by reporting them, or makign them look like idiots.
One person I know quite publically and inappropriately asked how can I be sure that the message to Mohammad was divine, my response was, usually I dont discuss religion but its a matter of faith, one can ask how can you or I be sure that jesus was born out of immaculate conception, and even if that is true that the right party was getting the credit, but we believe that because that is what is part of faith.
he got the hint and shut up.
