many ppl do that. its a kind of detox. i tried it too but really can't keep up and after doing it 7 days it made no diff to me. So i think its better to do 2-3 juices a day b/w meals for better health rather than whole day.
Sup Reha!..Yaa well it is possible to go all vegee and fruityy to loose weight but ya know..your body needs other nutration as well. Interesting thread..i am gona go read more into it..
I don't think juicing should replace food. I do think its a great way to incorporate more fruits and veggies in your diet though. What Joe did was a bit extreme but something like this CAN aid in weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. Why not?

i hav same idea. when my naturopath gave me a detox she put me on extreme juicing but she did allow me eat fish 3X a day n it made a huge difference. but juicing alone yaar we desi ppl can't handle. So once the detox is done having 2-3 juices a day is healthy esp having green smoothies is easier than having salads for me. but even soups work.
dos anyone wonder what to do with all the "dry stuff" u get after taking out the juice. is it ok to use it in a soup? is it still nutritious? i feel bad throwing it away.
mabrook, it is nutritious, one can even make the case that the "dry stuff" is more important for your body's health and well-being than the juice - which is mostly water and sugar, and some of the easily obtained water-soluble nutrients like vit C. minerals like iron are locked up in complex molecules within. you wouldn't juice a chicken, why would you juice broccoli?

Lots of people use the pulp for soups and other recipes.
I think its a bit extreme to think juice can replace food. I'd never do that because at one point you'd have to start eating real food and that's when all the weight would come rushing back.
