Re: FAT or PHAT?

Soundarya, lol funny…I am going to tell her to say this to him! Hahah
NaMaan, if it was a immature comment…What other potential immature things she should look out for? Not to mention this guy is not a youngen!
Crystal Bracelets, from what I know the guy is nice, funny and such, never met him personally.
Pkgrl000 you have some really good points!!
Queeniky, LOL
Redvelvet, I totally agree the PHAT thing was a total cover up. When I heard that I was like seriously?
Thank you everyone for your response and great advice  I agree with everyone definitely tactless and tasteless…I feel bad for my friend because she is not “fat” but now she has turned super self conscious! I will pass everyones comments along to her. I do think he has some growing up to do… which brings me to my next question, when do men really grow up and mature?

Re: FAT or PHAT?

what a nutcase

Re: FAT or PHAT?

the nerve of some people........

Re: FAT or PHAT?

some people have totally left their tact and manners at the door......

I don't care who you are and what kind of meeting it is.... but the first time you are hanging out with someone it is seriously rude to comment on someone's body part!!!!!!!! And let alone that this was a rishtaa?!?! omg... that makes it all the more appalling...........

Tell your friend to definitely move on... I wouldn't really even bother going into explanations with him. She should tell her parents she is not interested and let them deal with the rest.

You are a sweet friend for looking out for her :) Continue doing this and hopefully her insecurities will vanish and it will be replaced more so with a "i can't believe there are idiots out there like that". :)

Re: FAT or PHAT?

hello ladies,
yes PR this was for a rishta! it true made it really bad, weird, and akward. He is trying to "justify," it but its up to her not me...

Yes ofcourse, we believe that we (girls) should be each others true friends vs backstabbing frenemies lol

Sadly, I have no clue how long it will take for her insecurities to go away. She is very paranoid now!

Re: FAT or PHAT?

A great example of how ridiculous pakistani men sound on the rishtaa hunt.

You'd THINK they'd treat this more like a serious job interview, or a college interview or something. Be a bit professional. Understand that anything stupid you say or do will be held against you.

Guys must really be that pompous to feel that they can say anything retarded and still get away with it, and all these girls will still want to marry them. Some of the things I hear guys say to prospective girls when they're looking for rishtas is absolutely ridiculous.

He probably meant it as a compliment - "thunder thighs" can be taken positively as in her thighs are hot to him. He should not even be bringing up the subject though - its sort of cheap and tasteless and tacky.

He's looking for a wife. Right? Not someone to hook up at "da club" on a Saturday night.

Re: FAT or PHAT?

Hey PyariCgudia! lol you would think he is looking for a wife and not someone to hook up at “da club.” thats a interesting viewpoint on thunder thighs, but like you said things like that shouldnt even be mentioned on the FIRST time you meet somone ESPECIALLY if it is a rishta thing. :sigh: idiots!

I totally agree rishtas should be taken seriously like a job interview or a college interview!
