Re: fat free recipes

The best thing to do is to subsitute Extra Virgin Olive oil in any and all recipes that call for oil, ghee or butter. Its heart-healthy to use this and even tho it still has a good amount of calories, they're all GOOD calories.

Aside from that, just use the "moderation" rule and you;ll do just fine.

Re: fat free recipes

Correct MO3.

Moderation is the key and also the portion size. Another thing is balanced nutrition. We often leave out fruits and vegetables from our meals and end up eating more meat curries.

Other than that, use less salt, less oil, less deep frying and browning. Drain your rice to remove starch, eat whole wheat chappatis, include a sabzi in your meal planning so you consume less of only one type of food group.

I donot know why in Pakistan every body is telling to use Olive oil in the recipes. Olive oil should be used only in cold normal form, we should not boil it or put it on fire with the food. It will make very dangers chemicals. In all the arab countries they are using olive oil from thousands of years and they all and there doctors say that do not use olive oil for cooking, use it only in cold form like put it on salad. Doctors here are telling to use sesame oil for cooking.

Yes, for cold form its better to use Extra virgin olive oil but for normal cooking you can use virgin or refined olive oil. And NO it does not make no dangerous chemicals by putting it on the fire. Infact, the only difference between the extra virgin n virgin olive oils is their lower acidity. Lower acidity ones [xtra virgin] have more anti-oxidants, which are NOT harmful chemicals.

Don't know much about sesame oil but I can bet with all those ARAB docs that olive oil isn't dangerous.
