Re: Fat and cute.
‘mass’ doesn’t stand for just ‘muscles’, there’s no way you can tell about body shape just by calculating bmi of a person and perhaps you missed reading these links on internet below. Please have a look.
PLEASE NOTE: The BMI indicator is just a guide and may provide misleading results. It does not take into account different body frames, muscle tone, etc. It’s important to speak with a physician about your individual weight if you are unsure.
For example, if you are 5’4, 145 pounds but you have a small frame/build, you may look out of shape even though the BMI caluclator says your weight is “desirable.”

The best means of determining whether we are too fat or too thin?
Yes…
It is a simple and accurate way of assessing weight, which can be used as a basic indicator of overweight and underweight
Medical evidence shows that a BMI of below 18 or above 30 carries serious health risks
Critics simply don’t like the truth that BMI gives them about being too fat - or too thin
No…
You should read on BVI, it’s more reliable because they actually measure which areas have more fat.
Thanks. So basically there are diff views on BMI. I discussed the same with my head trainer @ gym and she was of the believe that BMI is currently the most accurate tool to measure you body health. Hmm. I am gonna read up more on this in the morning :).
