Can someone clarify if these 6 days has to be right after Ramadan or these could be any 6 days of the month of Shawwal?

it can be any six days of shawwal and does not need to be consecutive
**The recommended **is to fast one Saum in every 5 days ...
The most practiced is to start fasting from next day of eid and complete in six consecutive days, which is fine as well.
