I have heard somewhere if you are trying for a baby you can fast for 7 days and pray to ALLAH then by the grace of ALLAH you will concieve. Is this true or not?I didn’t find anything in hadees related to this thing, but if any of you have heard about it please share. Or if any of you know any duas for conception then share your knowledge.
P.S. This thread is for knowledge so please don’t think I am asking it for myself.
No, there isnt anything that specifically fasting for seven days should be done to pray for a baby. But in general, fasting is a way to come closer to Allah and to get more blessing. And the dua of a fasting person is not rejected. So if someone is TTC, its a good opportunity for them to get Allah’s blessing and to make special dua, at the time of opening the fast
Tomorrow (Dec7) is the Day of Arafat, its very good to fast this day, so try to fast it and make lots of dua
Also, try to wake up in the last third part of the night to pray 2 rakat Tahajjud and make lots of dua in your sajdah for a baby
This is a dua that you are supposed to make before intercourse for the protection of your children:
‘In the name of Allaah. O Allaah, keep the devil away from us and keep the devil away from what you have blessed us with.’
Here are some other duas from the Quran for our children/family:
Our Lord! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a comfort to our eyes, and give us the grace to lead those who are conscious of You.
(25:74)
Our Lord! Make them enter the Garden of Eden which You have promised to them, and to the righteous from among their fathers, their wives and their offspring, for verily You are alone the Almighty and the truly Wise.
(40:8)

Can you post something from the Quran or Hadith to back this up?
I have never read any hadith that says you have to read Ya Musawwar 21 times at iftar time. There are however clear hadith that say the dua of the fasting when is not rejected. So we should stick to what is authentic and leave what is not authentic
