That is correct guys.i.e. you do no thave to fast while traveling but make it up later on. I have had a long debate on this long time ago. My objection was that these days we do not travel in the heat of Sahara or desert’s or on camels.

But the answer that was given to me was pretty straight forward. The person I asked was a Maulvi Sahab and he said If Allah swt have gifted you something, given you a break on something then, why wouldnt you want to take advantage of it and rather be persistent and do the thing that is AGAINST of His will. If He has said NOT to fast while travelling then DO NOT. It’s like He has given you a GIFT and you are refusing to take it .

But then again, My Allah :swt: knows the Best.

Allah has given an OPTION to not fast, He has not FORBIDDEN you from it. By fasting while travelling is not equivalent to “refusing the gift”. Allah swt gave you the option of not fasting, so if you don’t fast while travelling there is no blame, thats how He made our lives “easy”.
