Asalam-o-ali kum,

Ramzan Mubarak to all,

I read on facebook that putting ur head under water intentionally makes your fast batil. Is it true ?
Like going underwater in a lake or pool. Is that allowed while fasting ?

Sorry i used bad Vocabulary here..... I shuld have said Immersing ur head under water ... would that break my fast ?

Not according to my knowledge.

The only reason it would, if water goes in the body through mouth or nostrils and there is a great chance of it when swimming. Perhaps, that's the reason to avoid it?

Actions That Void The Fast

  1. Intentional eating or drinking.
  2. Intentional vomiting.
  3. The menses and post child birth bleeding.
  4. Sexual intercourse.

Just keep ur face above the water level and enjoy swimming. :)
