Before there was Shoaib Akhtar, before there was Mohammad Sami, we had Mohammad Zahid. He was extremely quick, and took 11 wickets on his Test debut. He also helped Pakistan win the 1996 Triangular series in Australia, where Brian Lara had considerable trouble playing him.
Unfortunately for Pakistan, he got injured and never got back into the team. Maybe back then PCB didn’t take that good care of it’s players, so his talent went to waste. This is the only clip I could find of him on YouTube.
