I used to see way more fashion shows on GEO and ARY in the past. Seems like these channels have cut down on how much fashion they show, and I suppose with ARY’s new fashion channel, they really don’t show much now on ARY proper.

However, for those of us in the States, we don’t get the fashion channel.

I wish I could see more fashion shows. I just recently got the entire 11 channel package of Pakistani channels, and still exploring the programming. Do you guys know of any good shows where they will show full-length shows, so I can get an idea of designs??

It’s amazing. Pakistanis are so fashion-starved, and these channels would rather show yet another Faisal Qureishi thoughtlessly-written drama over some good fashion show, when there are fashion shows happening in the country on a regular basis. All a channel needs to do is show up there with a camera. Not hard.

well in pakistan we have style360 and thats the only real channel that shows fashion shows/shoots
geo sometimes shows clips of fashion shows in their news section

i find many Pakistani fashions repetitive because it's either been already shown in Indian fashion shows or they show the same material again.
and in others the outfits are outrageous. def not Pakistani style

everything is online anyways- the designer's websites, pictures, etc.

here's a theory: maybe lots of pakistanis can't relate to the fashion shows because the models are showing more skin and they wouldn't buy those clothes... so they'd rather turn to star plus. the tv channels in turn decide to make more faisal qureshi dramas to get the people back to watching pakistani dramas.
