Re: fashion ka ghar...

Hey I know u posted thisone aaages ago.... but was just reading it... My friend got her wedding outfit made rom FKG it was really nice but she lives in london and when she tried on both the wedding and valime outfit they had changed the whole outfit...sleever were meant to be long-they made them short and messed the neckline and fitting of both outfits!!!

But otherwise thier clothes are so beautiful...very pricey tho x

My family has a tradition to buy bridal clothes from FKG, they have beautiful clothes! InshAllah wen i get married will be shopping from there!

Re: fashion ka ghar...

my mamu has contacts with fkg and zari palace(next to mohsin sons) and he said they are the same thing but fkg charges more b/c it's fancier and has more upscale store. the owners of both stores are brothers or something like that.

Re: fashion ka ghar...

Are u talking about the pindi branch?

Re: fashion ka ghar...

Hi everyone, im knew to this site but i really want a churidaar dress made from pakistan, but cannot visit these places as i am situated in the UK could anyone supply me with email adresses of any shops that would make you a dress thanks.

Re: fashion ka ghar...

their kaam and fabric quality is really good but they have become pretty expensive now. i did have fitting issues with one outfit and they slightly changed the color of another one.

Re: fashion ka ghar...

I've heard they do excellent embroidery! Are they based in rawalpindi?

^yes, they are on murree road.

i got a dress from them last year for my friends wedding,i really liked the kaam and color was the same exact like the one i chose from the color card thingy…seems like they have a good dyer…lol, they didnt use the fabric i chose… they used a low quality one  and hated their stiching…

My In-Laws got my valima outfit from them and I must say I really liked it. I live in london so i gave them the measurments on the phone. I didn't try the lehnga before wedding as I didn't have much time. I went from here and I only had few days for shopping. But when I wore it on Valima day it fitted me reali well. kaam was really beautiful. I specially liked the colors of it, off white with shocking pink border.

Re: fashion ka ghar...

I got some suits made their. The quality is just ok. They could use better lining in their shirts and the zips are just cheap. I found the same problem at Mohsin's. Quality wise, both stores are the same. One of the suits I got from FKG, the zip just broke and I haven't even worn it yet. So now, I need to get it fixed. sigh

I think zippers all across the board in Pakistan are cheap. Whenever I need a zipper made in my clothes, I send them from here. Otherwise, buttons and hooks all the way!

Re: fashion ka ghar...

i know people who swear by it (the branch in isl/pindi).
dont have any experience with them myself

actually, i forgot...i think they also have a branch in jinnah super, isb too now.

Re: fashion ka ghar...

My bhabi's bridal lengha was from FKG and the kameez zipper broke...but in fairness the shirt was tight because my bhabi ended up gaining weight. The lengha i wore to my bros wedding was also from FKG and the zipper on the lengha at the side broke!

Re: fashion ka ghar...

ohh jus remembered...my SIL's valima lengha was from a designer she knew and the zipper on that broke too...so i guess its jus cheap zippers they use in pakistan!
