Mods, can you make this a sticky (unless there’s already a thread like this on here).
I’ll start. It’s freezing, with minus 22 degree weather where I am and I decided to wear trouser socks with my boots - so far so good.
Once I was at work I changed shoes and put on my dark grey heels. Now my question, can opaque trouser socks be worn with heels? Here’s a picture to illustrate my question.

I don’t wear socks with anything but boots - but I think I was trying to rationalize a way to keep my toes warm today :hinna: Time to take out the hosiery and risk frostbite.

Since you're wearing muted and "neutral" colors I don't see why it can't be professional. What other option do women have in that case?

I won't be outside very long. Only between getting from the house to the car and the car to the station. My toes can risk it, I hope...j/k
Actually, in answer to Sara's question, I wear boots to work and then change into heels at work. I'll just have the hosiery under the socks.
