Anyone here can tell me where i can find courses and programmes in fashion designing.
I know about NCA and PSFD, but thier website are pretty much useless for a person who isn’t a student already and wants to know more about them.
Has anyone here studied fashion from Hajvery Uni? or taken any short course from LCWU??
I’m looking for something more practical than a degree or diploma. I specifically want to learn, fashion sketching, sewing, and embriodery.
The latest update i found on an institute’s website was of 2008, some are not updated from 2005 some even older. When the semesters or short courses start??
a friend of mine teaches at psfd, i'll ask him and tell you ... but as for nca ... yea ... summer courses are there in the summer ... i think in june or july. there is a textile design course ... but they dont teach you what you're asking for ... it's really a textile oriented course with tie/dye, weaving and stuff ...

well my sis studies in PSFD .......if u wanna learn about weaving and tie dye u cant find a course .........my sis is studying this all its a 4 year degree .....
i am an x-NCA-ite ... so i know ... but she wants fashion-sketching, cuting sewing etc ... ye sab i dont think aik he course mein milayga ... poori degree he ker lo!
i know psfd does course in this ... but all are saparate ... yani fashion sketching alehda, pattern making alehda, cuting and sewing alehda ... so yea .... no short course can give an entire dgree's worth!
I think short courses are not on daily basis, right? If i'm taking sketching course on mon and thur, i can take sewing course on alternate days and so the embriodery course.
Hopefully i'm right. Things in PK work pretty weird.
yeap holy moly all are right u can never have these done at diffferent places but if ur really want i can tell u about SANAT ZAR that a government oriented institute where there are 3 months short courses i don know about sketching but u can learn about embriodries and stiching its fine there its in ALLAMA IQBAL TOWN.hope it helps u becoz big institues never offer less time ....as less as u get is one year not more lesst then that but thry this the one i tell u.

You know there's nothing available on internet, and i don't know much about places here, it will be very helpful having aa little more info.
P.S, since it's a Gov oriented, being a foriegner, can i take a course there? I guess most Gov oriented orgs in pakistan are for needy people only.
