when brothers dont bring belts with them when they come to the masjid to pray. And knowing they pray infront of the women.
No need to tell us women that the moon is full...thats what the Hilal Committee is for :P

Jeans hanging half way down ur arss with underwear showing - My brother does it all the time and its ugh so annoying. plus he gets all these weird looks from all the aunty ji's. I'm forever telling him why u trying to be a black man for? but apparently its not just a black thing anymore
Hahaha!! ![]()
Re: Fashion blunders made by men
It's called bussing low! =D
Only some guys can pull off the skinny jeans look, love!
No I don't want to see you wearing puffed, inflated jackets. That's WRONG. ¬¬
Don’t worry, a pink polo shirt isn’t a fashion blunder ![]()
My brother is exactly the same…It just looks uncomfortable! I guess they’ll only learn if their jeans fell down to their ankles while they were out in public ![]()
Re: Fashion blunders made by men
I hate hawaaian print shirts........ EVEN if guy is on vacation..
Shirts that are 2 sizes too large .... and pants that are 2 sizes too small ..... eweeeee
Personally - not a fan of the whole vest & skinny tie look with jeans...... dude you look too pretentious! The vest especially just pushes the outfit over the edge...
I'm not a fan of older men wearing graphic T's (i.e especially those with skulls and random animals on them) either... its like they are trying too hard to look younger....
^ OMG
hahahahahahahaha
that is crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
lets not tell men what not to wear but how to wear what they wear..
tshirt and dress pants
dress pants with running shoes
jeans and dress shoes
oakley sunglasses - just hideous
The looks are possible, not everyone can pull them off and the pieces have to be selected properly, many people just can not throw it together. and its not just desis who dont do it right..
definitions have to be right, dress pants can be many things to many people..same goes for casual..
1- tshirt and dress pants- tshirt with dress pants- it depends, a nice tshirt..not your fruit of the loom or hanes banyaan types with 3 pleats and cuffs valima suit pant from 1999..not going to work. a cashmere tshirt with flat front trim dressy pants will work, colors will have to be carefully picked. a monochromatic scheme will work best here. who else screws this up...italians..not italians in italy as much as the joisey and noo yawk italians..greaser look, black tight stripey tshirt with shimmers, and with pinstripe pants..half the damn south philly clubs still have an over abundance of this look, other ppl who think they are john travolta a la grease...my middle eastern brethren..
2- dresspants and running shoes- again if its a baggy pleated and cuffed suit pants and chuny 8 colour shoes, not at all..but if they are again more streamlined pants and the sneakers are not too loud it works well. could be classics plimsols, chuck taylors or jack purcells. ofcourse casual pants and sneakers has been a preppy gig for ages...rockin the khakis with kswiss..cant go wrong..who does this wrong..sadly desis are tops here, closely followed by yanks themselves.
3-jeans and dressy shoes is a tried and tested look, now if you have those tapered baggyish jeans in light wash and you are wearing them with captoes no can do, but trim, dark jeans, work fantastic with high vamp loafers, clean bicycle toe lace ups, burnished brogues, you name it. who screws this up..mexicans..
4-oakley makes fantastic sunglasses, poseurs seem to always pick the ones designed more for active sports and walk around with them, and sadly half the time they are knockoffs anyways. but glasses like square whisker, square wire, wire, whisker etc are very seek clean glasses. square whisker is on my next sunglass list. can never go wrong with a pair of clean aviators in a classic shape, black, pewter, or silver frame..simple lenses..no mirrored, 2 coloured type hanky panky there
tucking in. just stop it.
beer belly, yes
leaving it untucked has to be the right shirt, not all types of hem allow it..length and cut is a huge point. can not leave shirts untucked at work most of the time..
pink shirts
skinny jeans
v-necks
pink shirts rock...with a navy blue suit, and with grey as well.
question is the saturation...pale pink works great and actually looks great with olive complexion
skinny jeans, depending on how skinny and the person's physique.
vnecks are classic, both for tshirts and for jumpers/sweaters. now the V should not be too deep, which usually is the mistake ppl make, and if its a v neck top or tshirt and u got clumps of checthair peeking out..shave em
Plaid trousers
plaid trousers are classics, monochromatic dark colour glenn plaid have a modern , punk and banker look to it at the same time depending on how you accessorize them and what else you are wearing. I have a pair in dark grey, very versatile, the ways in which I have recently worn it were with a crisp white shirt and a black sweater with black loafers, pale blue shirt and a navy sport coat with darkbrown loafers, black shirt and a leather jacket with black boots. used to have one in coffee brown but lost em to an unfortunate accident where they got washed and became kid sized :(
its just as versatile as pinstripe, right cut, right size print, and colour..and you can be very flexible with it.
men..go forth and conquer..
dont be a slave to fashion and fads, develop your style, figure out what you can rock and what aint your gig, wear it with pride. the best accessory to an outfit is confidence :)
Re: Fashion blunders made by men
the popped collar...for God's sake, leave that in the year 2000 where it belongs! its even worse when the guy is not in his teens....it seems like he's trying too hard to look young.
OH also on that note, guys above the age of 23 who wear logo tee brands like American Eagle, Hollister, and Abercrombie. Seriously?
X2, i've worked with every material and every look possible (including net shirts) BUT I have yet to meet someone that can actually carry-off a plaid trouser.. so far no one! The closest person that came to be 'acceptable' was Atif Aslam who wore a very dark plaid trouser paired with a "v-neck".
Oh yeh, net shirts another big NO!
red, yellow and orange shoes.. NO
Re: Fashion blunders made by men
This really explains 99% of the stuff I do wrong. continues to take notes
Guess you need to meet more people
I know plenty of everyday folks who rock the pattern.
check this link out from askmen, they feature banana republic plaid trousers
Banana Republic Plaid Wool Trousers - AskMen.com
and then banana republic, you see three trousers, glenn plaid, window pane etc.
as I said, colour, cut and what you pair it with will decide whether it works or not.
Apparel, Handbags, Shoes and Accessories for Women and Men | Banana Republic
Ok, those one’s they hardly look like plaid. I’m talking about green/black..blue/black..red/black..red/green ones ![]()
