Fashion Advice

Im fashion trendily challenged, especially after getting married. I fee so looped out about what’s right and what’s not.. So what’s in for winter that’s functional, comfortabale and halal enuf…?

Re: Fashion Advice

hmmm devi.. how about black jeans (the ones that sit at ur ankles) with some nice boots or even cutsie flats.... and u could top that with either a long jacket or a short one... ?

Re: Fashion Advice

Black is back, 1950s glamur - high waists with thick black belts and cute little black jumpers. Layering is good, whats also amazing is that you can wear what you want and so long as it looks good its fashionable. But makesur eyou pick the right lenghts.

Drainpipe jeans are also very much hip-happening.

Re: Fashion Advice

I heard lace is back in.. victorisn style lace tops, looked good on the model n it did look right outts the 50's.. OK GO AHEAD and feel free to kill me but what is drainpipe jeans?? is it the same thing as skinny jeans

Re: Fashion Advice

knitted scarves, woolen shawls, and wraps are 'in' for winter 2005 I guess...

Re: Fashion Advice

depends on where u r gurl!

in ny every other girl has the straight legged jeans with boots (flat, western, stacked heels) tucked in and they usually go nice with cropped jackets.

im getting the urge to buy myself a really cute fur cropped jacket........and black flat boots.

yeah velvet jackets are in too but i would think velvet (the warm kind...makes u look fat..)
since trends in ny change every friggin season and it gets kinda expensive to keep up i would advise u to invest in classical pieces like fitted knee length coats in black/red/beige, pinstriped pants, nice button downs, a hot pair of jeans, nice pair of boots...and then layer on the trends in the form of accessories to update your look every season....chandelier earrings are still 'in' and they pretty up any outfit and look nice on shalwar kamiz too.
i think the boho and glittery stuff will soon be out but it looks cute too ...
so u can go for cheap versions of trends in bags, belts, jewellery, hats, scarves etc....so u wont cry your heart out when they are "out" the next season.

Re: Fashion Advice

well banana republic or guess jeans with low boots and a fitted leather jacket and a knitted scarf.
