Once my daughter Safia turned 2 she was picking out her own clothes. She knew exactly what dress, what color..and only the LONG dress. She was very specific about it. There were some outfits that my mil gave her that she just didn’t want to wear. I think this behaviour is not that common for her age. But she just wants to be a princess. She was also sure that she wanted long hair and won’t let me cut it.

Reminds me of myself! I was always choosing my own clothes, and I grew out my hair although my mother preffered shoulder length, and now that I am older and its long I want to cut it and my mom won’t let me.

It was a problem for a while because she refused to wear pants when the weather got cooler. Now she wants to wear her Belle (Beauty and the Beast) Halloween costume when we go out. I’ve let her do that a couple times if she was just sitting the stroller but now I have to put my foot down.
I found a few kids clothes I thought were cool. Stuff i would get if i could afford it
