looks like another politically motivated kidnapping. this time the victim, 22 year old Nida Raja, is the daughter of Farzana Raja. She was kidnapped from Islamabad today by gunmen.****
Raja.****Farzana Raja (born January 2, 1970) is a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. She is Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), a program which aids impoverished families in Pakistan. Although Farzana Raja was born in Gujrat but she belongs to a Shia Muslim family of the Gujar Khan, a teHsil of Rawalpindi and Chak Rajgan is her village which is situated in Gujar Khan. She had married Pir Mukarram ul Haq from a well known political feudal family of Sindh. Later they divorced and Farzana Raja went on marrying Ammar Turabi the son of famous Shia Scholar Allamah Rasheed Turabi.
i feel sorry for the young daughter and her loved ones. May Allah bring her home safe…aameen.

i'm NOT sure...i heard 22 on Dunya News. this is the second child of a politician being kidnapped in recent times...the first one being Salman Taseer's son. i hope she is returned or she is rescued unharmed.

Who would dare to kidnap the child of such high-profiles? that is the question!!! remember both Shahbaz and this girl are not just any HNI kid, they belong to ruling class, kidnappers need to be stronger then them...
Anyway, this reminds me about one ex-governor of Punjab, about whom one of his wife writes that her sister didn't came back from college, everyone was so worried and we Governor sahib was worried as well and finally it came to her knowledge that the SISTER was not kidnapped but was with the Governor all the time...
about the above case, the girl belong to feudal lord.. it is too early to say something, the initial reports says that the girl used the back-door of institute to leave...why would she do that??? it is also been reported that she was not in good terms with her step-father... and it is also reported that a girl with same name had traveled from ISB to KHI on some airline...

oh...thanx for the info...it could very well be an inside job or it could be a parental abduction. whatever, let's hope this girl will be safe.
Missing woman: Rajasthan Minister is accused of her murder and rape
A local court in Bhilada in Jodhpur district today ordered that the name of Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna be added to an FIR registered in connection with the case of missing midwife Bhanwari Devi.
The Public Health and Engineering Department Minister Maderna now faces charges of murder, criminal conspiracy and even rape.
Police believe Devi, an auxilliary nurse midwife, was kidnapped on September 1 after reports that she possessed a CD containing a video of Maderna and her in a “compromising position”. Her whereabouts remain unknown. The case has been handed over to the CBI.
Bhilada Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sandeep Verma directed the police to include Maderna’s name in the FIR following an application by Devi’s husband Amarchand. His lawyer Paras Chauhan said Amarchand had said in the application that the minister had raped his wife on numerous occasions. “After hearing arguments for two days, the ACJM court ordered that Maderna’s name be included,” Chauhan said.

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme Chairperson Farzana Raja’s daughter was allegedly abducted from Sector F-6/2 in the limits of Kohsar Police Station on Friday.
On the other hand, the police suspected that the girl’s father, former provincial minister Pir Mukaramul Haq, could have taken her in his custody, as there was a dispute of children’s custody between the divorced couple.
According to police sources, 14-year-old Nida Mukaram, who is now called Nida Fatima, had gone to Islamabad College for Girls where she was studying and was supposed to return at 12 noon. The family’s driver went to pick her up but she did not show up on which the federal police was informed. However, the girl could not be recovered and was still missing.
Farzana Raja, who lives in Diplomatic Enclave, is in touch with the federal police. The police officials were investigating on the lines that Pir Mukaramul Haq had filed a petition in the court of former senior civil judge in Islamabad, Chaudhry Aurangzeb, stating that his estranged wife Farzana Raja was living with an American, Dr Ammar Turabi, without marriage and because of their attitude his daughter Nida Mukaram and son Pir Shahnawaz Ali’s character would be damaged. Farzana Raja had demanded divorce (Khula) from Pir Mukaramul Haq which was approved by the court.
She had married Dr Turabi due to which Pir Mukaramul Haq was not happy and he used to say in private meetings that girls were not allowed to live with their stepfathers in his family. So there is a possibility that Pir Mukaramul Haq took Nida with him or the girl herself had gone along with him. Kohsar Police duty officer, Ayaz, said that the police had inquired from the college management about the girl, but they have also shown ignorance.
