There are a lot of positive things they did for student rights. Some opportunist and fresh members do wrong things which is sort of natural for student age but still guaranteed that no drinking, no adultery, no bhatta khori. I have shared here a report of a news chanel that explains how female students are harassed by PU administration and academic staff. The female student interviewed were not from Jamiat but they had no bad words for Jamiat even though the TV channel reporter tried her best to extract some bad for Jamiat.
Administrators of PU are no less than dictators. They punish students on negligible mistakes. Security guards have absolute power over students.

Isn’t it racist that the natives of the city aren’t good enough to be hired in its own police force? though, I think that the situation has improved compared to the eighties / nineties. There is a point to be made as to what have rangers been doing since they have been deployed since 1991 and karachi has had flares of violence in their tenure. Why can’t they be proactive all the time; heck, the police should be vigilant as Rangers are a border force who are supposed to be deployed on special time-constrained missions to aid the local authorities. We aren’t in postwar germany where US MPs had to be deployed to keep order.

They consider themselves muhajir not natives. Also muhajir prefer to join their private army (MQM), instead. The MQM is the real police. Sindh police have no power nor authority. MQM police get loads of money and ammunition from external hands hence real power belongs to them in karachi.

Most interesting part is everybody knows that it is MQM that is actually policing Karachi but still they blame Sindh Police. Well, with the ranger operation, they have become almost toothless. And I believe they will loose more power as this is the age of science and technology plus Army is trained enough after fighting against TTP and CIA and Raw backed terrorists.
