Icono, if you think MQM is not a political party (despite landsliding all active elections in the largest city for 2.5 decades), and parties like ANP and JI never picked arms…then we have nothing more to discuss. Cheers!

I hope that you are sane enough to understand that winning election does not make a person immune to commit crimes nor does it make them immune to the law. Hitler won elections, yet committed large scale human rights violations and killings. Many communist organisations killed scores of people and yet had widespread support among masses.

I do not agree that the present ANP in itself is an armed gang like MQM, nor is PPP. Even though their affiliates in Karachi are not any less than MQM and for that matter if any of them dies in encounter or custody I will not loose sleep (doesn’t mean I condone that act). However, these parties in other provinces do not have arm gangs like they do in Karachi, and the reason is that they have picked arms after MQM, I hold MQM responsible for that. However, if there is any evidence to the contrary, I will be happy to change my position.
