The question is not who was honest and who wasn’t? Laghari was born as politician from PPP stage. He was not an angel either, there were few corruption scandals also associated with him. He was so “namak haram” that he cut the same hands which fed him. After doing that he had ruined his political career and became unknown.

I guess the only “namak-halal” people left in PPP are Rehman Malik, Babar Aawan these days, the definition of ‘namak-halal/haram’ in PPP really takes it to different level, something seen in mafias where the loyalty is with person and not discipline/rules.
