Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
1st Muharram Is the begining of New Year in Islamic calender. It is also the death aniversary of Second rightly guided Caliph Of Islam. We can learn a lot from the great companions of Prophet (pbuh).
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
its sad that despite their reverence for him the muslims after Ali as followed neither of the 2 principles championed by Umar[ra]
1-Shura or consultation in elections
2-Sabiqa or precedence of early converts
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
This is not working. If it is an image then upload it using ‘image upload’ feature at the right side of your page. thanks
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
^ no mourning more than 3 days...sure we can learn a lot from Quran and Sunnah.

thats true ..friend.....
Umar consulted Shura not in elections..of Usman(ra)...but in every matter...wars..fiqah issues....etc etc....
and he gave preferences...the sabiqunul awaloon....badar sahabas..over everyone..even his son was Badri...but annual scholarship...of Hussain(ra)...and Hassan(ra) were more than his son..Abdullah ibne Umar(ra)...when he protested a bit that they wre not in battle of badar...umar(ra) got annoyed and shouted...now..you are comparing yourselves..to gransons of Prophet(pbuh) !!!!!
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
Who is mourning ? :)
No need to get overboard. There was and there is no need to mourn the Shahadat of Great Sahabi who rendered Gigantic services to Islam. Rather it is time to reflect upon the great legacy of good governance, firm devotion strategic and political refinement by a humble and devoted muslim who also was one of the finest and most progressive muslim Ruler in Islamic history.
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
^^ exactly i agree ....we dont mourn Umer Farooq...we rememeber his golden peroid of caliphate...which is guideline for all the world..till last day....
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
^ you are right about this incident brother Umar[ra] had great respect for all those who served the faith, and the stipends of Prophet[pbuh]'s family was higher than anyone else ....but I dont think abdullah b umar[ra] was a badri he participated in ghazwas after khandaq ...as he was too young before that to fight ...Umar[ra]'s brother zayd b khattab[ra] was a badri
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
ha ha ha ha...dawa i dil....i m sorry but most of your references arent even reliable nor the narrators...but i will get back to this topic after moharam!
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
Beautiful thread...Thanks for sharing DiD...
It seems that those who have been hating and mourning so much for the past 1500 years continue to do so and derail this thread about one of the most fantastic man ever who lived...
No one can help it...1500 years of grieving and beating themselves and hating and cursing will result in a harsh, unhappy and a jagged psyche...No one can help them...
Thanks again for a great post...
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
may be ...i am wrong..i think...Zayd Bin Khattab was martayred in battle with Muselma ....in Yemen....and umar was very sad at his death....

Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
^ yes ....indeed many sahaba were martyred in that battle ...salim mawla of abu hudhayfa[ra] another friend of umar[ra] was also martyred that day and some say thabit b qays [ra] as well
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
It was narrated from ‘Aamir ibn Waathilah that Naafi’ ibn ‘Abd al-Haarith met ‘Umar in ‘Usfaan, and ‘Umar had appointed him as governor of Makkah. ‘Umar said, “Who have you appointed in charge of the people of the valley?” He said, “Ibn Abza.” ‘Umar asked, “Who is Ibn Abza?” He said, “One of our freed slaves.” Umar said, “Have you appointed over them a freed slave?!” He said, “He is well-versed in the Book of Allaah and he has knowledge of the laws of inheritance.” ‘Umar said: “Your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Indeed, by this Book, Allaah would exalt some people and degrade others.’”
(Narrated by Muslim, 817)
This shows that genrally umar[ra] would prefer men were knowledgable in religious matters over those who were ignorant no matter what their social standing was ....
The person in this event is abdul rehman b abza[ra] who was a companion and a relibale narrater of ahadith
Re: Hazrat umer ki shahadat
Abdulla Bin Umar (ra) first fought in the battles of khandaq at the age of 15....
he was keen to fight in the battle of badr but he was among those young boys who were sent back by the Prophet (saw) due to small age....
similarly he was sent back in the battle of uhad....
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
thankyou sir..for the nice information...
Re: Farooq-e-Azam- Hazrat Umar Ibn e Khatab(ra)
In the early days of islam....once prophet muhammad(pbuh) went into the kaaba ...took its ghilaf(the cloth on the kaaba) in his hands...turned his face up...and prayed that.....
O the merciful of all...O mighty Allah ..... strenghten islam with the Umar bin Al-Hasham(Abu Jahal) or Umar bin Al-Khattab (Farooq)......
and Allah accepted this request of his beloved prophet(pbuh) ... as a result...islam received ...that gem...whose parallel is never to seen in the whole human history......
which is ranked at 52 *in Michael Hart famous *" The 100 " ...only two from whole islamic history......
and many great western historians unanimously of the view that if muslims could produce only one umar more...the whole world would be muslim....
When umar went to convert to islam....to Safa ....They said, "Who is it?" I said, "Ibn al-Khattab." They knew my severity against the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so nobody moved to open the door until he said, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "Open it for him." They opened it for me, two men grabbed hold of me by the upper arms and brought me to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said, "Leave him alone." Then he grabbed me by my shirt and dragged me forcibly towards him and said, "Accept Islam, Ibn al-Khattab. O Allah guide him," and I bore witness and the
Muslims said, "Allahu Akbar!" so loudly that it was heard in the valleys of Makkah **.......**
If he was such a legend why did he run from uhaad, this isnt shia prespective sunni's who have some knowledge accept this too coz this is what ur boock says
However Quran forgave those who ran away but still the one who ran away leaving Rasool s.a.w alone how can u use these kinda words for him ????
