Cooking is fun even if you can’t cook - What I enjoy most is when I’m asked to cook something, like when my brother calls me up on the motorway and says, baji biryani khani hai and sister wants pakoRe for dinner, I just want to fly home and go straight to the kitchen. Just to hear them say ke I’m the best baji ever :o I can make 'em say that too, but this is more civilized method I guess :o
So here’s what a made a few weeks ago, biryani was too strong for my bro but he still ate it and said it was good. I seriously wanted to protest against this food colour, but if I did the shopping I could be allowed to have a say :o PakoRe aren’t my specialty either :o
Dunno why I can't cook aloo-gosht the way it's supposed to be. I mean mine is okayish but not like my Ammis. This has to be the most difficult desi dish ever, anyone can learn the fancy stuff but for aloo-gosht you need skills. This combo looks wierd but sis insisted on bhindi, so
hmm.. when my mommy has me cornered and is holding a chappal in one hand a belan in the other and is swearing on my nanis grave that she’ll beat the living daylights outta me … i must say.. it gives me that much needed boost :halo:
and yes.. i agree with u.. aloo gosht is a difficult dish... its meant to have that distinct look to it... teh ratio of shorba and garam masala must be just right... ... mine just ends up lookin like any other normal saalan :s
p.s)i forgot to compliment u on ure dishes.... they look very yummy indeed...
Oye Sherni ... kya zulm hay yay. Halwaaaaaaaaa aur woh bhi puri kay saath? Naheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.... Halwa is just the way i like... not too runny.
