Faraz Anwar happens to be one of the most talented musicians in Pakistan. Unlike the numerous members in the new bacha bands these days, he started his career the same time when musical giants like Salman, Rohail etc started. Unfortunately, he never made it big like them.
To be honest Mizraab is nothing without Faraz Anwar, but his music alone is something worth listening to. Critics (from BB in particular) bash him regularly in every single issue without realizing his contribution to the music scene for fifteen years. His amazing solos can be heard even in JJ songs, hes an amazing guitarist, no doubt. He might not be the best out there, but hes certainly ALOT better than the combined talent in bands like eP whom they cherish so much. However, I do agree that its very unfortunate that Faraz has some delusional fans who are as ignorant about his genre as the people bashing him.
Just listen to ‘Kitni Sadiyan’ from MHM, amazing song! Now thats good music!
^ tum ne AB jaa kar suna hai ye? did u get to see the video yet?
khair, this is the song that has made mizraab gain SOME popularity in pakistan after the video made some runs on the channels. even if people dislike them, at least pakistan has some idea by now that we have lotta variety and not just the usual "teri meri gal bangayi" crap. it did change their image ke they are not all metal and can try different stuff too.
with mizraab, its the same problem as karavan....promotion. these guys seriously need propoganda skills. i think if they promote themselves well, they will definitely beat out those boy bands emerging these days.

Chanda, I listened to it a LONG while ago and have already seen the video, but I dont think anyone talked about MHM on gs which is why I posted as this song is probably new to many people here. And yeah, Faraz himself said that mizraab is a progressive rock band (not that it really matters anywayz). And karavan is just alright, they can never be as good as Faraz, no matter how hard they try, Faraz is gifted.
excellent and album and also his untitled album which he created when he was 17 .. vdo of Kitni Sadyaan , directed by Babar Shaikh is tooo good .. :k: ..
agreed .. both bands are promoting themselves via internet by releasing their albums like faraz did and also karavan releasted their unplugged album which is awesome .. :k: ..
