We have a muslim fantasy league that we have been running for about 3years now. Pretty competitive and from all parts like Florida, Killa Cali, NYC etc. We are looking for a couple of folks that want to join. PM me if anyone is interested. I’ve been playing (and administering) yahoo and CNN based fantasy pools at school and work for a while now (basketball, hockey, soccer). I’m definitely up on this idea, and am willing to be of assistance in any and every way.

Zoab_Khan, apart from the large fantasy pools ur talking about, allow me to also propose fantasy pools based right here on GupShup on this thread.
We've had the cricket pools based on single tournaments and there was genuine interest. So how about having fantasy leagues that run along with the particular sport's entire playing season. The equations for calculating points are pretty simple and don't necassarily have to include minor stats (penalty minutes, fouls committed etc.)
I'm not a super technical person but I'm sure comeone can propose a good solution to run the mechanics on that. At the very least, if it can't run through GS, we can gather and compete on a yahoo based pool, for example. And have teh results spill over on these boards to promote some sort of competition. Maybe even include that a category under GS games (?).
What say you mods, and more importantly, fellow guppies?

We have been carrying out Baseball, Football, Basketball for about 3-4 years now. We usually have about 12-14people in our league. And we usually allow the people to get in who someone knows. Age group is from 16-30. Mostly people in their 20's to mid 20's. You have administered some league's so you know about the message boards. We use the message boards totalk a lot of smack and talk about a lot of issues too. Most of the people we have are pretty religous, also students. We have a live draft and keep track of the past winners. If you are still interested and don't think you will give up in the middle of the season then email me and let me know.
