Funguy we can start our own.

Here is the deal.

1.Name a team comprising of 12 players from significant test playing nation participating in Worldcup ( AUS,ENG,WI,PAK,IND,SL,NZL,SA).You can select atmost 2 player for one team.And you should have atleast one player from each team.That means you can have 2 players each from 4 teams and 1 player each from other 4 teams.

2.Your team should have 5 batsmen,1 WK,4 Bolwer and 2 All rounder.

Example:
A valid team could be

1.Lara Batsman WI
2.Trescothik Batsman ENG
3.Sachin Batsman IND
4.Ponting Batsman AUS
5.Sehwag Batsman IND
6.Kallis Allrounder SA
7.Jaysurya Allrounder SL
8.Gilchrist WK AUS
9.Shoib Bowler PAK
10.Bond Bowler NZL
11.Murali Bowler SL
12.Waqar Bowler PAK

3.Each person can enter one team only.Please post your team and keep changing players as many time as you want till start of WC ,which is 8th Feb.On 8th Feb this thread will be closed.Or Post your team once on 8th Feb.**

3.At the end of tournament the person whose team gets most point wins.

4.Point will be calculated as follows:
**
Each run scored by a player on your team will fetche 1 point.
Each Wicket taken by a player on your team will fetch 20 points.
Each Catch taken by a player on your team will fetch 5 point.
Each stumping done by a player on your team will fetch 5 point.**

Example:
If you have Akram in your team and he scored 150 run took 12 wickets and taken 5 catches.Then your point will be 150+ 12*20+5*5=415.

i see that you;ve got 7 quickies/medium pacers in ur team...any reason? plus..the only spinners youve got are sehwag n vaughan, if they classify as spinners.

but apart from that...good team...BIG names...all capable of doing WELL. (y)

I thought of putting Murali instead of Dillon from WI, but then I its SA wickets. May be for Zimbabwe wickets I should add Murali.

I think BBC is also having a Fantasy Cricket League on their World Cup website.

And I agree, that Cairnes should be registered as a Batsman, because initially he is a Allrounder but he will be unable to bowl cause of his injury.
