Some examples:

the first wicket to fall on either side
M-O-M, etc.
it'll take a few extra seconds to account for such things, but it'll make it that much more competitive.

Well we can have many variations ,but more the variation more will be confusion and then more mess at KK. So will will keep it simple like last time. Select 11 player with one trump player whose points will be doubles.

Let me get this straight.
There will be 2 fantasy leagues - i.e. one for ODI's and the other for Tests.
So the participants here pick a team of 11 players (with a pre-defined number of batsmen, bowlers, all rounders and a wicketkeeper). The team can comprise players from both Pakistan and Indian sides. One player will be desginated as the "bonus player".
Each run scored counts as one point, each wicket and catch will count for 10-20 points. The points scored by the "bonus player" will double. Someone keeps track of this after every match. The participant whose team scores the maximum points at the end of ODI's (or the Tests), will be declared the winner.
Is this right?
Here is the detail.

1. Each Participant will have to pick 11 player.6
from one team and 5 from other team.
There will be ONLY ONE competition for both ODI and TEST.
Your team must have 5 batsman,4 bowlers,1 Wicket keeper and 1 All rounder. Who will be counted as bowler or batsman or allrounder will be posted by the me when Pakistani team is announced tomorrow.Everyone will have to stick to it else it can be very controversial.Some may count Ganguly as all rounder some may not. So stick to the list whic will be posted here.
You must Identify one player as your trump player.
5.Each run scored by a player in your team will fetch 1 point.
6.Each wicket taken by a player in your team will fetch 20 points.
7.Each catch taken by a player in your team will fetch 5 points.
8.Each stumping done by a player in your team will fetch 10 points.
10.Last DATE to make changes to your team would be 12th March 2004 NOON GMT.At that time Ehsan bhai will close the thread.
12.Decision made by moderator and people who are managing this show(which is me :D) will be final.

This won't be very feasible as teams for ODIs and Tests are different. I suggest we break the two down.
^ I agree. We should have two competitions, one for ODI's and one for tests. Lets start with the ODI's and then we can look at the tests later on.

FG..I agree with the first one completely.
Regarding 2nd one ,I initially thought on those line but I wanted to make competition more challenging. Because if we have competion only for ODIS then essentially we are asking people to chose 11 players out for 15-16 players if we ignore Balajis and Shabbirs of both teams. But if we combined Test and ODI teams together then people will be forced to choose team from a bigger pool of players.
But since everyone thinks that we have separate competition for ODI and TEST then let it be. :D

F&B bhai just list your final squads for the ODI's and the rules and people should start posting their teams in the new thread. Any other points can be discuseed here. The new thread should be for the fantasy teams only.
How about creating a database driven site where every member can go and enter their team. Your duty will only be to update the points of each player after each game and app wil automatically calculate the points total for members. I can develop a quick and dirty application in and hour if someone is interested in hosting it somewhere
or is this against the policy of uncles oops i mean mods & GS :)
