Well, they dont’ use that phrase directly, but that’s the impression they were giving, like its super casual to drink with dinner and all.
Me no likey that.
I dont’ mind that they didn’t show any single muslim praying even once, thats fine with me, but I just think showing casual drinking in a hardcore Muslim family is disrespectful…even if the actors are shown doing it to forget their sorrows.
One of the stupid sheirs is still stuck in my head this morning:
“kaash mein ooon ka gola hota, aur un ki ungliyoon mien lipta hota”
[ooon = yarn] and Aamir says this while Kajol is knitting. Now tell me how thats romantic?
i didnt like the dialauges, kunal the director could've hired someone to wrote em but no he had to write dailogues himself!! fazol shiriee, i just like one shiare ' teray dil mei meri saasoon ko panah meil geiy, teray ishq mei meri jaan faana ho jeiy'.. and the music was superb

lots of indian muslims drink in india. It is not a big deal.
Thanks Saby…its a different movie…I mean we cannot watch comedies or same old routine love stories all the time…so its a bit of a relief when you get something a bit different and especially when its well done.
B+ for the movie… although i am not quite sure what they could have done to make it better… Amir and Kajol will save the movie, i hope. Sad endings are not taken well by desi audiences… so lets wait n see how it does at the box office. Kajol was  n aamir delivers yet again.
shairs were good in the beginning… especially the one that ends with “aashiq hoon tera, saheli ka mut samajhna”
hahaha. I dunno whats worse, a muslim family drinking or the illegitimate child!
Kajal and Amir Khan did very well. Kajol looked very pretty actually minus her hanging belly and yes amir khan did look old, but then he is old now so big deal. I thought he looked cute even in the longer hair. He looked really, I mean REALLY, good in the shalwar qameez in that song after their nikah. Child was good too and very very cute. I would go easy on the poetry cos it was mostly non-serious and fun. I don;t know why bollywood always shows indian muslims like they belong to a darbar or something with couplets flowing out whenever they open their mouths.
Didn;t like the movie too much. I don;t like things that make me cry and that stupid end did Amir Khan’s return was mission impossiblish, no? That music was just too much. I would like to rewrite the end though
See if Amir Khan could single handedly bring a chopper down with a gun so could Kajol She should have shot down friggin nana jaan’s helicopter instead of shooting you know who. Or even just fired at the budha and killed him. Then you know who could have gotten out of the whole plot and redeemed himself.
By the way tabbu and the other intelligence or police guy whoever he was, had lousy unimpressive roles. Very weak. And what the hell happeend at the end, how did the army helicopter appear from nowhere on top of nana jaan’s helicopter? Pehlay aa ke manhoos maar detay tau woh tau bach jata.
i think the ending was justified. I liked the way it was and not a typical bollywood movie were everyone is happy at the end. Aamir khan was a terrorist and he deserved to die. He was no saint. Even though his character in the movie was such that audience would like him to live.
The movie was good, but i still think rang de basanti was much better then fanaa.
by the way this was aamir's 3rd movie in a row were he dies in the end, after mangal pandey and rang de basanti..aamir dont die in the next movie :D
It was utter rubbish, unrealistic..the pair had no chemistry whatsoever....and what the hell they fall in love after meeting once...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it was ajeeb confused kinda movie, didnt flow for me....
im waiting for kabhi alvida na kehna now....my fave abishek, rani shahrukh, preity, amitab wow....cannot wait..
I will check out the movie tomorrow! only pro srk fans think this movie is crap!
however dont you think KANK is a copy of closer a movie abt relationships, another same again srk playing the lover boy role.. same again.. boring really!!!
