The film's called Ghunghat. I have seen Ghunghat a few times but have not seen Fanaa so I can't say anything.

This is 100% false information. I saw Ghunghat back in 1996 and I saw Fanaa in theatres over 2 weeks back - they are nothing alike. The story of Ghunghat is that of a jealous husband who suspects something going on between his wife and her cousin. Fanaa is about a blind woman who falls in love with a terrorist and how their relationship is put to the test. The storylines are NOTHING alike.

The only thing similar is the way the film ends....and even that's a stretch.
