Re: Famous Zari Houses in Lahore
Liberty Market is FULL of zari houses, as is Anarkali. Basically a zari house is any shop that can do embroidery and make bridal clothes, so there are literally thousands of shops all across Lahore that do this.
Zardozi and Think Pink are in Liberty and are relatively new, which is why people are talking about them. Some other famous ones include Ashee's in Liberty, Portia in Liberty, Barkat Ali Sari Walay on Mall Road, Al Fajar in Cavalry, the list could go on forever. These places can work in all price ranges. But nowadays, a standard bridal will start at 40-50,000 rupees and goes to about 125,000 depending on what kind of material and work you want. A designer bridal starts at 100,000 rupees and goes to 250,000 rupees.
When you go to a zari house, you'll see samples as well as ready-to-sew pieces. The samples you can manipulate (i.e. color, work, material, accessories, etc) and place a custom order. The ready-to-sew pieces have all the embroidery done. All you have to do is get it sewn. The benefit of that is what you see is what you get.
