I am with Gavaskar ALL THE WAY on this one. Before him and Imran the desis used to take it sitting down from the English and the Australians. There were a few exceptions here and there (Bedi being one) but for the most part the Asian teams were a bit too accomodating. Maybe these were colonial complexes which many of us still harbor.
Lillee was a typical Aussie cricketer (arrogant and a bully). I think Gavaskar gave him good. I also enjoyed what Miandad did to him as well.
