Rauf started his career by writing PTV Quetta Center’s drama Madaar (Dircetd by: Sajjah Shah *ing: Jamal Shah & Soniya). His most memorable drama is Guest House which is considered as one of PTV Classics even today. He made two serials on Kashmir Independent Movement namely Angaar Wadi & Laag. He also acted in both these serials. He also a made a feature movie ‘Laaj’.

This is such a heart breaking news, can’t believe it so I googled and it is indeed true that the legend is no more with us 
Angaar wadi and Laag are his masterpieces for which Rauf Khalid will always remain in our hearts and memories. Allah Rauf sb ki maghfirat farmaye aur inn kay darjaat buland farmaye, aamin. This is such a sad news :(((

This is such a sad news. He was a very nice man, very soft spoken, and indeed his efforts toward Kashmir cause through Angaar wadi and Laag are commendable. May Allah shower His blessing upon him ever, aamin.

**Actor Atiqa Odho was saddened to hear the report that acclaimed television writer-director and actor Abdul Rauf Khalid passed away on November 24 in a road accident while travelling from Islamabad to Sheikhupura.

Like many others, television and film actor Odho who worked in Khalid’s 1995 drama serial “Angar Wadi”, and thought well of Khalid. “My condolences go out to Rauf Khalid’s family. It’s really sad to see such a young life lost. This unfortunate incident should remind us all that nothing and no one is permanent,”she told The Express Tribune.
She further added, “What’s important is to live with honour and dignity so that the memories we leave behind are worth remembering.”
According to reports, the accident occurred when one of the tyres on Khalid’s car burst, fatally overturning his car. Khalid – also a painter, lyricist, speaker and educationist – has left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter.
Khalid, the President and Chancellor of the National Institute of Cultural Studies, Lok Virsa Islamabad, was best known for his television screenplays which include “Guest House”, “Angar Wadi” as well as Lollywood film =Laaj. The film won 12 Bolan Awards, 14 Graduate Awards, four National Film Awards and a Lux Style Award, reported dawn.com.
Apart from the above mentioned awards, he had also received the prestigious Pride of Performance award.

one of the best directors and one of my favourites. he had such a charming personality the way he used to speak.
