Yes.. I am talking about Family Politics at Funeral.
It is very common in my mother’s pind in India. Let me expalin you with example.. Pind has 3 big families A,B & C. They are very close relative and have their havelis next to each other. Family was Zamindars during British rule and untill 60s.Then family grew,land reforms were implemented and property were distributed among kids.
Due to some property disputes there is always mistrust in these 3 families. 2 of them will always gangup against the 3rd. Last decaded it was B&C against A.This decade it is A&C against B.
5 years back oldest lady of C’s family died and they didnt allow anyone from A’s family to visit the dead and take part in funeral although leading lady of A’s family happened to be own sister of deceased.
Last month Patrirch of A’s family died and they didnt allow anyone from B’s family to take part in funeral saying that it was his WILL.
Both the time I was not there in pind but I found it very disgusting and idiotic.
Do you guys have any experince of this kind.
