I know its quite common for people to decorate their place of work e.g their desk, room etc with pictures if their other-halves, children etc. Does anyone here do it and what are you thoughts about it?
I have started decorating my room with pictures of Mrs. and myself and getting some interesting comments.
It would be a personal choice, I think it goes towards building the human connection. What kind of comments have you been getting?
Just things like gorgeous couple, women saying Mrs. is lucky, men saying I’m lucky, or when are we going to have addition to pics etc
That is awesome, I like when couples are equally matched.
Some people do that, but I don’t like to mix life at work with the rest of my life. Also I don’t like strangers to look at my pics. Unfortunately, there are many jealous people out there and you never know what is in their hearts. They may have praise on their tongue, but in their hearts may be very jealous.
I shared pics of the kids on Slack once. I hardly have physical copies of pics with them.
I always love decorated offices, cubicles etc.
A lot many people have put pics of their families which is lovely.
We've a large team and have a culture that when someone visits a place they bring back that location's keychains or postcards etc. So mine is all decoed with it. In fact I'm kinda running out of space for that now. It looks good
We have that too…at my work. But my work desk is simple..no pictures nor postcards, key chains..etc. My colleague has her whole desk full of pictures and completely random stuff like jokes and motivational quotes. And flag of her country of origin..
