How do you keep a balance???
Did anyone of you complete your studies after getting married??
With more demanding degrees as Ph.D, particulary in the initial years, or lets say any degree how do you take care of the house, yourslef and then your betterhalf???
Your response would be appreciated 
from a week before my first child was born up to this time (two weeks after his birth) i have not been able to do anything at all on my research....
I think its either familiy life or studies/career..one cant do both..well if one wants quality in the work done...
I agree with you but its not true altogether considering there are many women who study, give birth and manage houselhold BUT its difficult... no doubt abt it.
I guess it would be great if there were women at GS who actualy faced or are facing this situation. If there are men, then they can also contribute.

Its not easy trsut me.Im taking my postgraduate exam next month and this attempt would be the first one after my shadi.Though my husband is supporting but i feel exhausted at the end of the day.Wake up early in morning ,manage home ,leave for library around 12 , come back around 7 and prepare for dinner....and feel totally drained at the end of the day!!
But when i went to college ,meet up ppl and specially women with 2 or 3 school going kids,who rejoined the studies after a long gap,that boosts me up,and let me feel i can do it too :)
i think it would be easier if you didn;t have any kids. After having had babies it gets more challenging unless mayyyybe if you have a full time 24/7 person to take care of the kid!
Can you do Part-Time studies?
When we got married, my wife had 4 more classes to graduate – all senior year EE courses with long lab hours. She completed 3 while being pregnant (actually she had a final 2 weeks before her due-date) and the last course after Misbah was born. My Mom would take care of Misbah while my wife went to school or lab (which was not more than 2-3 hours a day) but it was mostly her own resolve to study; late at night after putting the baby to sleep, giving me dinner, cleaning up everything etc. Yes, it takes a determination to do laundry with a book open!
In other words what you need is will power & things will work out!!
ahmad, giving you dinner, cleaning up after you? What are you five years old? Considering she had a baby and has school work to do, your ass should have been at Taco Bell. I am disappointed. :(
