So i’m thinking of investing in some false eyelashes. I am not blessed with the ghanni, lambi eyelashes of the desi brand, owing to a combination of wearing glasses since the ripe ol’ age of 9, and a lack of genetic contribution. I tried to do some research of my own, and saw some stuff in Zellers and Sephora. But i wanna know about what are the best kind, what style, how to properly apply, and ofcourse take them off. Any help would be appreciated. oh and also, where in good ol’ T.dot would i be able to find 'em. ![]()
Re: False Eyelashes
If you want natural looking lashes, just go to any drug store or beauty supply store and check out the selection. MAC has them too, but they are a little too fake looking. But maybe you can ask the person at the counter to teach out how to put them on.
There are dozens of varieties based on personal taste. I suggest starting out with natural looking ones. As for applying them, the instructions are with the lashes and like eyeliner, it takes patience and practice to master their application. Good luck!
Re: False Eyelashes
Yeah get the natural ones, I got mine from Sally's. I dont knwo exactly what it was though. I got an eyelash adhesive and a remover but my eyelids are really oily so never really needed the remover. From what the lady told me, you are only suppose to use them once but I know people who use the same one for months. I only wore em twice so I dont know how long you can put em on from.
After you are done applying them with the glue, make sure you use mascara and eye liner.
Re: False Eyelashes
Invest in some good mascara instead of eyelashes if u r not planning to use em everyday ..i don have nice long eyelashes as well but i don use false eyelashes n belive me with a good mascara n eye makeup they look prety good .
Re: False Eyelashes
thanks guys for the tips. iori yagami and peshow, what kind of eyelashes do you use? i mean the big, full, pakistani drama kind, or the individual eyelashes or the kind that are just not so ghani (hope you understand what i'm talking about) what kinds of looks do you achieve with them?
Re: False Eyelashes
I use the single lash ones and just put 3-6 on the edges depending on the event, my mood.
Also MAC has a great eyelash thickner that lengthens too..makes for dramatic looks.
Re: False Eyelashes
I've lost a lot of hair (including eyelashes and eyebrows) to problems with my thyroid so I'm always looking for ways to make my eyelashes nicer.
I tried the false ones but I have a really hard time putting them on. Usually need up to 20 minutes to get it right....and quite frankly, that's more time than I have to dedicate to just the lashes. If it's a wedding or something then I'll make the effort, otherwise Revlon's Voluminous does the trick just fine.
