^What happened to the girl with the nice body and photogenic memory, seriously - I love you for your photo memory, I have never heard that one before, puts it under her diary for cheesy chat up lines.
Re: Fall from grace...
It is hard to handle fall from grace. Specially if the fall was too deep. The thing is that sometimes you dont realize that people assume or think of you better than you actually are. Maybe you create such a persona unknowingly or knowingly or whatever, that leads to your ultimate fall from grace. I recently experienced once and the cost was too much. Cannot say all was deserved but this lies perfectly with the notion that sometimes being held in high esteem has its downsides.
Re: Fall from grace…
Exactly! Who doesn’t want to be thought of as a good person or even better an exceptional person. Yet sometimes the other person idealizes you to such a point where when your human failings become apparent (those failings being no better or worse than others), you’ve disappointed someone who assumed you were better or more than you were/are, through no fault of your own. :hinna:
Re: Fall from grace…
This is the point. If someone falls from grace or his/her flaws come to my mind, I try to remind myself that everyone makes mistakes. sometimes its a grave one. But It does not mean that they are bad to the core.
But you dont always get the same consideration yourself. Such a bummer!
Re: Fall from grace...
How do you handle disappointing someone who assumes you're better than you are?
Tell them they are an idiot for thinking so and make better use of their brain cells in the future.
