Fake housing society in BB’s name unearthed
A PPP Legislator from Nawabshah had accused one Bahawal Zardari of occupying over 100 acres of land of his relation and launching a housing society on the occupied land in the name of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and staged a walk out from the house in protest after the speaker and senior party colleagues did not give him the support that he wanted in the matter.
Tariq Masood Arain, who elected on PPP ticket second time, made this startling disclosure on the floor of the Sindh assembly on Friday while pleading to the government to act immediately before the accused managed to sale the forcibly occupied land.
The most bizarre aspect of the episode is naming the housing society as “Shaheed Pinky Housing Society”. Mohtarma Benazir had the loving nick name pinky and she was called with that name by her great father Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the family. To prove his allegations about launching of the housing society, Tariq Masood Arain displayed handbill in the house in which details of the housing schemes were given.
The entire house and particularly the senior members of the PPP looked in shock the way Tariq Masood Arain pleaded the house and particularly the party to immediately intervene and save the land of his family which had been forcefully occupied.
Speaking boldly on the matter, he informed the house that land located near Qauid-e-Awam Engineering College Nawabshah has been occupied through forged documents. Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Haq rose on his seat to pacify the PPP legislator and said that they were colleagues and would sort out the matter.
