Fake designer goods

Can we start with Gucci. Whats the best way to know your gucci bag or purse is genuine ? And assuming you’ve made a purchase over the internet, ok …ebay to be precise :bummer:

Am i right in thinking it shouldn’t say ‘sheng tong’ on the bit the button clicks into? Even the Hong Kong plant ( if it isn’t some ting nins own factory )wouldn’t put that on would they?

Re: Fake designer goods

The only way to tell if it is a genuine and not fake is by wearing it around your shoulders. If you feel gucci gucci then it is genuine and if you feel shabbang dang then it probably is a Sheng Tong.

Re: Fake designer goods

Its my matching purse.

The bag is from kelkoo and is gucci because it feels it, looks it, and i’ve got out the magnifying glass and compared it to the exact same purchased from high street stores. Plus it wasn’t cheap.

The purse is from ebay and since having seen my friends fake purchase from dubai i just can’t get it outta my head :hula:

Re: Fake designer goods

Nowadays it's all China, I wouldn't trust anything that sounds like a better deal than the regular designer prices, unless its second hand. Nowadays if I see a woman with a Louis Vuitton bag, I always assume its a fake - even a genuine Louis wallet costs you an arm n a leg.

Re: Fake designer goods

I’m off Louis Vuitton cuz they have a ridiculous amount of fakes out there and as you said…when you see one, regardless of its authenticity you just assume it’s fake.

I wonder if i’ve been had. :crying:

Re: Fake designer goods

Don't worry, as long as it looks original - I'm sure you can tell the difference though, you usually can by the texture and finishing.

Re: Fake designer goods

That's it. It looks real enough. I'm just worried about the 'Sheng Tong' bit. Ah well...i'm lumbered with it now.

Re: Fake designer goods

oh it does say 'shen tong'? lol. well nowadays even Tommy Hilfiger manufactures his clothes in China. Noones gonna see it, dont worry. Everyones outsourcing to China.

Re: Fake designer goods

Ok …

‘Made in Italy (r)’

AND

‘Sheng tong’

It’s not looking too good but lol it’s funny :hehe:

Re: Fake designer goods

ps, be warned gupsters.

This is the second time i got robbed.

Once by a desi and now by a hongikongian

Re: Fake designer goods

ok, I just checked my Anna Sui purse, it still has the authenticity card in it. But she’s Chinese so I’m assuming it was made in China anyway. argh who cares :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw, Gucci bags are absolutely gorg

Re: Fake designer goods

:hehe:

Yea, lol thats all i can do…pretend it didn’t matter anyway :hehe:

Re: Fake designer goods

I bought a Gucci bag from Ebay early dis year, come with a genuine(ish) looking authencity card. They only giveaway that it was a fake was the dustbag otherwise its gorgeous looking and no mine doesnt say 'sheng tong' on the button bit but gucci. All me cuz were fallin ova themselves to buy one - contacted the guy and he supplied me with sum and moi made a bit commission!:)

Re: Fake designer goods
