Thought I’d ask…have any of you all ordered from Faiza Samee or Sabyasachi Mukherjee over the phone? I have a few Faiza Samee outfits, but it was during my moms last trip to Karachi, and I may need to do a lot of my wedding stuff over the phone. Obviously, it’s not ideal, but, having said that, i’m curious to see what you guys have to say.
I’m debating about the mehendi theme and clothes and so far those two designers are the most “authentic” and “traditional” for mehendi in my opinion.
I guess I want that classic peshwaas look with a churidaar and heavy dupatta. I’m goign to try the mehendi like a formal-dress-up-occassion and have my makeup and hair did, but still in “mehendi mode” with a paranda, yasmin flowers, etc. I might wear a ghummar because i’m not wearing one at the wedding.
although I'm a huge Sabyasachi Mukherjee fan, every real bride I've seen in his stuff just looked bad...along the lines of what i've heard people say about real Umer Sayeed brides. I'd go with Faiza Samee.
thank you! i appreciate the comments. umar sayeed...i love this work...but he's not bridal-eee enough for me. i'm going to stick with the classics, faiza, bunto, hsy, and i'm really liking chinyere couture a lot! not sure what other people think of them?
I would go with Faiza…true she has some ugly designs (just about every designer does) but almost every bridal outfit I’ve seen has been stunning. IMHO Sabyasachi’s bridals are too colorful and OTT and Indian/Bollywood-looking.
I love Chinyere's stuff and I think it's the first time they have come out with their bridal collection....so, it's something new and not what everyone's been wearing lately...I think you should definitely look into their designs.
