Re: Faiz Ahemd Faiz – A Tribute

Starting from a brief glance at the milestones of His life

Some very surprising discoveries for me. The fact that he served in Indian Army and reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Re: Faiz Ahemd Faiz – A Tribute

Number of Top Pakistani singers have sung his poems… and a lot of his poems are my favorite. Iqbal Bano, Tina Saani , Nayara Noor and Madam Noor Jahan have done justice with most difficult of the compositions. I start with Tina Saani. She has sung most number of his poems.

Specially To Our Indian Friends !

Folks you might not have heard most of these songs. These poems and songs are full of passion and carry a strong message. I would recommend you to listen them once. You would love them too

Spring blossoms

Spring blossoms, it is as if
All have returned from oblivion
Every dream, every youthful theme
The ones that died for your beauty’s sake
But rose again to love partake
Roses now with freshness teem
The ones fragrant with your remembrance
The ones that make your lovers dance
Torments all rage supreme
Regrets of our friends’ disgrace,
Intoxication of a lover’s embrace,
Heart’s remorse none can redeem
Mine and yours,
Questions, answers unforeseen
Spring blossoms and they start anew
The journals of my love to you

April 1975

Re: Faiz Ahemd Faiz – A Tribute

I firmly believe that there was only one person in the history of mankind who could sing this poem better than her

And that was Malka-e-Taranum Madam Noor Jahan Herself. She has great control over her vocal chords

Above is a live version with available musician. bellow is recorded with original music
